| Title: |
Forever Feeling (Quiet Insect) |
| Artist: |
Gabriel Keller
|
| Album: |
Finally Alive |
| Description: |
A nice little melodic song
|
| Notes: |
This and Land of the Moonshine were written, lyrics first, on the same day. The guitar part for this came first, then I fit the words in and went with the feeling and soon enough, I had a complete song
the idea behind "forever feeling" was emotions that have a sense of eternity with them. it could be lots of things, like love, which certainly is part of what it is for me, but it's also like just all deep feelings that transcend time and reason. That’s a forever feeling.
the bridge (dandelion part) was inspired by Martha Soule-Fahey, who once said she'd like to sit on a dandelion. therefore, she is the quiet insect..

| Lyrics: |
Quiet insect
silence reigns
in this moment
nothing change
Gorgeous heartstring
when it rains
in that moment
no more pain
Quiet insect
wisdom hides
in the corners
of your mind
Gorgeous heartstring
when it rains
in that moment
i am rain
I think I've got a forever feeling
Quiet insect
silence reigns
in the kingdom
of your brain
Gorgeous heartstring
when it rains
in that moment
i am rain
and I think I've got a forever feeling
If we could sit on a dandelion
we could ride on the fluffy seeds
we would float over to san fransisco
and slide down the golden gate bridge
and we'd leave a trail of breadcrumbs
quiet insect, so we could get back home
although we might like our life together
so much that we'd never go home
I think I've got a forever feeling
Which I hope that I will be forever feeling
